Recipe for a gourmet burger

Ingredients:

For the patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

For the toppings:

  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, and egg. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape each one into a patty that’s slightly larger than the buns. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
  4. Brush each patty with vegetable oil and place them on the preheated grill or skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they’re browned and cooked through.
  5. While the patties are cooking, slice the avocado and the red onion into thin rings. Cook the bacon in a separate pan until crispy.
  6. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  7. Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom bun of each burger.
  8. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the mayonnaise, followed by a couple of avocado slices, a few rings of red onion, and a slice of crispy bacon.
  9. Place the cooked patty on top of the veggies.
  10. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and let it melt.
  11. In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, hot sauce, salt, and pepper to make a spicy mayo sauce.
  12. Spread the spicy mayo sauce on the top bun of each burger.
  13. Close the burger with the top bun and serve immediately.

4 burger buns, 4 slices of American cheese, total of 4 slices

4 individual lettuce leaves

2 tomatoes of a manageable size

12 of an onion in red

2 tbsp ketchup

2 tbsp mustard

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions:

Prepare the grill or skillet by heating it to a medium-high temperature.

 

To season the ground beef, combine it with some salt and pepper in a bowl. To make the patties, divide the mixture into four equal parts, and then form each of those halves into a patty that is just a hair larger than the buns. To prevent the core of each patty from expanding excessively while it is cooking, make a little depression in the middle of it.

 

After giving each burger a little coating of vegetable oil, set it on a grill or skillet that has been preheated. Cook for three to four minutes on each side, or until they have developed a browned exterior and are hot throughout.

 

Put a slice of cheese on top of each burger during the final minute of cooking, then wait for the cheese to melt.

 

While the patties are in the oven, slice the tomato and onion into rings of equal thickness.

 

On the grill or in the toaster, lightly toast the hamburger buns.

1/4 cup BBQ sauce, plus additional for serving

4 burger buns

a quarter-pound of sliced cheddar cheese

4 individual pieces of bacon.

12 of an onion, sliced red onion

4 lettuce leaves

1 tbsp vegetable oil

 

INSTRUCTIONS:
